To improve the detection accuracy of an angle detection device for detecting a rotation angle of a manual shaft even if an assembling error arises between the manual shaft and a case, and wobbling occurs during operation.SOLUTION: A range switching device comprises a rotating body 47 having a manual shaft 44 whose rotation angle is set by a selected shift range, and a detent lever 40 integrated with the manual shaft 44, and rotatable with the manual shaft 44 as a center. The range switching device also comprises an axial-direction regulation part 101 for regulating the movement of the manual shaft 44 in an axial direction while permitting the relative rotation of a rotation angle sensor 70 with respect to the rotating body 47 in a rotation direction Dr of the manual shaft 44, and a rotation-direction regulation part 102 for regulating the rotation of the manual shaft 44 in the rotation direction Dr while permitting the movement of the rotation angle sensor 70 to case 3c in the axial direction Dr of the manual shaft 44.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
