To provide a technique effective for suppressing a thermal load received by a coil used for induction heating in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device 1 for an internal combustion engine includes: a ceramic member 4 in which an exhaust emission control catalyst C is supported on an air gap part 4a enabling passage of exhaust gas; a casing 2 accommodating the ceramic member 4; a conductive member 11 provided in the ceramic member 4; a coil 12 inductively heating the conductive member 11 by supplying an alternating current; a cooling section 20 cooling the coil 12; a change-over valve 30 serving as an exhaust gas control section capable of performing control so as to cause exhaust gas flowing into from an engine E that is an internal combustion engine into the casing 2 to flow in at least either one exhaust gas flow passage of a first exhaust gas flow passage 31 in which the ceramic member 4, the conductive member 11 and the coil 12 are arranged and a second exhaust gas flow passage 32 bypassing the first exhaust gas flow passage 31; and a control section 40 controlling the change-over valve 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】内燃機関の排気浄化装置において誘導加熱に用いるコイルが受ける熱負荷を抑制するのに有効な技術を提供する。【解決手段】内燃機関の排気浄化装置1は、排気が通過可能な空隙部4aに排気浄化触媒Cが担持されてなるセラミックス部材4と、セラミックス部材4を収容するケーシング2と、セラミックス部材4の内部に設けられた導電部材11と、交番電流の通電によって導電部材11を誘導加熱するコイル12と、コイル12を冷却する冷却部20と、内燃機関であるエンジンEからケーシング2内に流入した排気がセラミックス部材4と導電部材11とコイル12とが配置された第1排気流路31と第1排気流路31をバイパスする第2排気流路32との少なくとも一方の排気流路を流れるように調整可能な排気調整部としての切替バルブ30と、切替バルブ30を制御する制御部40と、を備えている。【選択図】図1
