To provide a cargo handling support system in which an operator can grasp a load mounting surface for cargo handling accurately, and a separated situation between a bottom surface of a pallet inserted by a fork and the load mounting surface can be checked.SOLUTION: A cargo handling support system comprises a forklift having a cargo handling device equipped with a fork, and a lifting height sensor which detects the lifting height of the fork, and supports cargo handling operation of the forklift with respect to cargo shelves having a load mounting surface. The cargo handling support system comprises: a controller which finds the height of the bottom surface of a pallet based on the lifting height of the fork detected by the lifting height sensor and the size of the pallet supported by the fork, and finds the height of the load mounting surface by a preset value; and a display unit 48 which draws and displays the height of the load mounting surface and the height of the bottom surface of the pallet as crossbars L1, L2, L3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
