To solve or reduce various problems (especially problems related to price, weight, charging infrastructure, and service life) related to a large-capacity secondary battery which is the biggest challenge in the spread of electric vehicles.SOLUTION: On an electric vehicle, a large-capacity secondary battery that has power accumulation capacity necessary and sufficient for traveling an average traveling distance per day by energy-saving traveling (corresponding to traveling at a constant velocity traveling fuel economy) is mounted. The charging of the large-capacity secondary battery is carried out by ordinary charging during a parking period at a place where a long-term parking is constantly possible such as home of the owner of an electric vehicle, not by rapid charging at a charging station and the like. Deceleration traveling during traveling is carried out not by the braking traveling including regenerative braking but by the inertia traveling.SELECTED DRAWING: None
