To provide a multi-component copolymer excellent in crack growth resistance and wettability, which is a rubber composition for use in production of rubber articles such as tires, conveyor belts, anti-vibration rubbers and seismic isolation rubbers.SOLUTION: A multi-component copolymer has a conjugated diene unit, a non-conjugated olefin unit, and an aromatic vinyl unit. The multi-component copolymer has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 10,000 to 10,000,000 in terms of polystyrene, and 50% or more of the entire aromatic vinyl units are present in an amorphous part containing the conjugated diene unit.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】タイヤ、コンベアベルト、防振ゴム、免震ゴム等のゴム物品の製造に用いられるゴム組成物であって、耐亀裂成長性及びウェット性に優れる多元共重合体を提供する。【解決手段】共役ジエン単位と、非共役オレフィン単位と、芳香族ビニル単位とを有する多元共重合体であって、ポリスチレン換算重量平均分子量(Mw)が10,000〜10,000,000であり、前記芳香族ビニル単位全体のうち、前記共役ジエン単位を含む非結晶部分に存在するものの割合が50%以上であることを特徴とする、多元共重合体である。【選択図】なし
