To provide a contact condition estimation device which can furnish an understandable result with a simple structure.SOLUTION: A contact condition estimation device 1 estimates a contact condition between a wheel and a rail during traveling of a vehicle. The contact condition estimation device comprises a wheel measurement unit 2 for measuring a wheel section shape, a rail measurement unit 3 for measuring a rail section shape during vehicle traveling, a position determination unit 4 for measuring a relative physical relationship between the wheel section and the rail section during vehicle traveling and an estimation unit 6 which estimates a contact condition of the wheel and the rail based on the measurement results of the wheel measurement unit, rail measurement unit and position determination unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】簡単な構成で分かりやすい結果を得ることが可能な接触状態推定装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両の走行中における車輪とレールとの接触状態を推定する接触状態推定装置1である。そして、車輪の断面形状を測定する車輪測定部2と、車両の走行中にレールの断面形状を測定するレール測定部3と、車両の走行中に車輪とレールとの相対的な断面の位置関係を測定する位置測定部4と、車輪測定部、レール測定部及び位置測定部の測定結果から、車輪とレールとの接触状態を推定する推定部6とを備えている。【選択図】図1
