To repeatedly execute operation resumption control at upper limit frequency corresponding to a state of a pump.SOLUTION: A vehicular cooling apparatus includes a pump, an upper level control device and a pump control device. The pump control device detects rotational frequency of an electric motor on the basis of fluctuation of a three-phase current, outputs a pulse signal to the upper level control device in a cycle that is a minimum cycle or greater and corresponds to the rotational frequency in a period in which a drive signal to the pump indicates an operating state, determines the state of the pump and sets a duty ratio of the pulse signal to a duty ratio corresponding to the state of the pump. The upper level control device determines rotational frequency of the electric motor on the basis of the cycle of the pulse signal, executes operation resumption control for resuming an operation of the electric motor after the electric motor is temporarily stopped in the case where the rotational frequency based on the cycle of the pulse signal is smaller than a set value continuously over a time exceeding a predetermined time, and sets upper limit frequency of executing the operation resumption control on the basis of the duty ratio of the pulse signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】ポンプの状態に相応しい上限回数で再稼働制御を繰り返し実行する。【解決手段】車両用冷却装置は、ポンプと、上位制御装置と、ポンプ制御装置とを備える。ポンプ制御装置は、三相交流の変動に基づいて電動機の回転数を検知し、ポンプに対する駆動信号が稼働状態を示す期間において、最低周期以上の回転数に応じた周期でパルス信号を上位制御装置に出力し、ポンプの状態を判断し、パルス信号のデューティ比をポンプの状態に対応するデューティ比に設定する。上位制御装置は、パルス信号の周期に基づいて電動機の回転数を判断し、パルス信号の周期に基づく回転数が所定時間を超えて設定値未満を継続する場合、電動機を一時停止させた後に電動機を再稼働させる再稼働制御を実行し、再稼働制御を実行する上限回数をパルス信号のデューティ比に基づいて設定する。【選択図】図3
