To provide a battery controller for vehicle capable of restraining occurrence of precipitation of lithium metal in a low temperature lithium ion battery.SOLUTION: A battery controller for vehicle for controlling power storage amount of an auxiliary battery using a lithium ion battery or a battery for automatic operation back-up includes a determination part for determining whether or not the power storage amount of a battery is in a first state where lithium metal is precipitated by charging of a specified quantity on the basis of the temperature of the battery, a prediction part for predicting whether or not a charging current, corresponding to charging of specified quantity, flows from a vehicle apparatus connected with the battery to the battery after a prescribed first time, on the basis of running state of the vehicle, and a control section for lowering power storage amount of the battery when the determination part determines that the power storage amount of the battery is in a first state, and the prediction part predicts that a charging current flows after the first time, until a second state where the lithium metal is not precipitated even if the charging current flows to the battery, before the first time elapses.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】低温のリチウムイオン電池におけるリチウム金属の析出の発生を抑制することができる車両用電源制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】リチウムイオン電池が用いられた補機バッテリ又は自動運転バックアップ用バッテリの蓄電量を制御する車両用電池制御装置であって、バッテリの蓄電量が、所定量の充電によってリチウム金属が析出する第1状態にあるか否かを、バッテリの温度に基づいて判断する判断部と、バッテリに接続された車両機器からバッテリに所定の第1時間後に所定量の充電に相当する充電電流が流れるか否かを、車両の走行状態に基づいて予測する予測部と、判断部がバッテリの蓄電量が第1状態にあると判断しており、かつ、予測部が第1時間後に充電電流が流れると予測した場合、第1時間が経過する前に、バッテリに充電電流が流れてもリチウム金属が析出しない第2状態となるまで、バッテリの蓄電量を低下させる制御部と、を備える。【選択図】図1
