To provide a fiber-reinforced composite material-made frame capable of offering high mass efficiency for bending strength.SOLUTION: A fiber-reinforced composite material-made frame is adopted as a center pillar of a vehicle body. The center pillar has a hollow section of a corner-rounded rectangular shape. In an intermediate part 4b around the middle in a longitudinal direction of the center pillar, a thickness Tof a peripheral wall of an external part 4b1 serving as an external side of a vehicle body is larger than a thickness Tof a peripheral wall of an internal part 4b2 serving as an internal side of the vehicle body. In the intermediate part 4b of the center pillar, a longitudinal-direction neutral axis AxNis deflected by a dimension G1 toward the external part 4b1 from a longitudinal-direction sectional center axis Ax4b. The external part 4b1 of the intermediate part 4b is a part on a side where a compressive stress occurs when an object collides with the vehicle body from outside the vehicle body and a bending load reacts on the intermediate part 4b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】曲げ強度における高い質量効率を得ることができる繊維強化複合材製フレームを提供する。【解決手段】車体のセンターピラーには、繊維強化複合材製フレームが採用されている。センターピラーは、角丸矩形状の中空断面形状を有する。センターピラーにおける長手方向の中程の中部4bでは、車体の外側となる外側部4b1の外周壁の厚みTB2は、車体の内側となる内側部4b2の外周壁の厚みTB1に比べて厚肉に設けられている。センターピラーにおける中部4bでは、長手方向中立軸AxNBが、長手方向断面中心軸Ax4bに対して、外側部4b1の側に寸法G1だけ偏って設定されている。中部4bにおける外側部4b1は、車体の外方から物体が衝突し中部4bに曲げ荷重が作用した際に圧縮応力が発生する側の部分である。【選択図】図3
