Then, the electric connecting circuit 12 for the power supply vehicle and the electric connecting circuit 22 for the formation vehicle are connected. As a result, electric power is supplied from the power supply car 10 to the formation vehicle 20. The power supply car 10 runs by driving the main motor based on any of the overhead wire power collected from the overhead wire by a pantograph 14, the stored power of a power storage unit, and the power collected from the third rail by the current collecting shoes.     【課題】従来とは全く異なる手法によって、複数の電力供給方式に対応した電気車の走行を可能とすること。【解決手段】電源車用電気連結回路12を備えた電源車10を、編成車両用電気連結回路22を備えた編成車両20に連結し、電源車用電気連結回路12と編成車両用電気連結回路22とを連結することで、電源車10から編成車両20に電力を供給する。電源車10は、架線からパンタグラフ14によって集電した架線電力、蓄電部の蓄電電力、第三軌条から集電靴によって集電した電力、の何れかに基づいて主電動機を駆動して走行することが可能であるとともに、この電力を、連結された編成車両20に引通し線30を介して供給することができる。【選択図】図1
