The invention provides vehicle-electric vehicle power supply equipment connection confirmation. A vehicle includes a control pilot circuit connected with a charging port and including a control pilot line, a resistor, and a switch selectively connecting the resistor between the control pilot line and a ground of an electric vehicle power supply equipment inserted into the charging port. The vehicle also includes a controller that switches the switch between an open state and a closed state after receiving an out-of-vehicle request defining a number of switches of the switch.
