The control device 2 determines whether there is congestion at the descent point on the basis of the detection results of the detection device 1. The control device 2 obtains a first elapsed time T1 that has elapsed while the detection device 1 has detected the same person at the first point, by a first acquisition processing unit 21, and obtains a second elapsed time T2 that has elapsed while the detection device 1 has detected another same person at the second point by a second acquisition processing unit 22. Then, a determination processing unit 24 determines whether the first elapsed time T1 and the second elapsed time T2 are both longer than a predetermined time, and once determining that both are longer than the predetermined time, it determines that there is congestion at the descent point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】エスカレータの降り場に生じた混雑を精度良く検知できる混雑検知システムを提供する。【解決手段】混雑検知システム100は、検出装置1と、制御装置2と、を備える。検出装置1は、エスカレータの降り場において、進行方向Dgにおける前後に位置する第1地点及び第2地点で人を検出する。制御装置2は、検出装置1の検出結果に基づいて、降り場に混雑が生じているか否かを判断する。制御装置2において、第1取得処理部21が、第1地点で検出装置1が同じ人を検出した状態のまま経過した第1経過時間T1を取得する。又、第2取得処理部22が、第2地点で検出装置1が別の同じ人を検出した状態のまま経過した第2経過時間T2を取得する。そして、判断処理部24が、第1経過時間T1及び第2経過時間T2が何れも所定時間以上であるか否かを判断し、何れも所定時間以上であると判断したことを以て、降り場に混雑が生じていると判断する。【選択図】図1
