To provide a power supply connector separation device by which a power supply connector (a charging gun) connected to the power receiving connector of a vehicle can be forcibly separated from the interior of the vehicle in the event of, for example, emergency.SOLUTION: A power supply connector separation device 1 comprises: an accelerator sensor 33 that detects an amount of accelerator operation as an index value correlated with driver's intention of starting when a power supply connector 50 is connected to a power receiving connector 30 of a vehicle 3 (when the vehicle 3 is in a READY OFF state); a starting intention determination unit 372 that, based on the amount of accelerator operation, determines the presence or absence of the driver's intention of starting; an unlocking unit 374 provided in the power receiving connector 30 and that unlocks the power receiving connector 30 and the power supply connector 50 in a case where it is determined that the driver has the intention of starting; and a power supply connector separation unit 375 that separates the power supply connector 50 from the power receiving connector 30 after the power receiving connector 30 and the power supply connector 50 are unlocked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
