To provide a determination method and device for width-direction uneven wear of a pneumatic tire that can correctly determine presence and absence of occurrence of the width-direction uneven wear.SOLUTION: The determination method of width-direction uneven wear of a pneumatic tire includes the processes of: installing a sensor 20 at an inner surface of a tire 1 located at a position corresponding to a shoulder portion 6, a quarter portion 7, and a center portion 8; measuring force of pattern vibration generated by each of the portions 6 to 8 using the sensor 20 by rolling the tire 1 in a new state at a predetermined speed; calculating a criterion energy value E0 based on the force of the pattern vibration measured on the tire 1 at the new state; measuring force of pattern vibration generated by each of the portions 6 to 8 using the sensor 20 by rolling the tire 1 to be measured at a predetermined speed; calculating a measurement energy value E based on the force of the pattern vibration measured on the tire 1 to be measured; and determining that width-direction uneven wear occurs when the measurement energy value E is smaller than the criterion energy value E0 by a predetermined value or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】空気入りタイヤの幅方向不均一摩耗の判定方法および装置において、正確に幅方向不均一摩耗の発生の有無を判定する。【解決手段】空気入りタイヤの幅方向不均一摩耗の判定方法は、ショルダー部6、クォーター部7、およびセンター部8に対応する位置のタイヤ1の内面にセンサ20を設置し、新品時のタイヤ1を所定速度で転動させてセンサ20によって各部位6〜8が発生させるパターン振動の力を測定し、新品時のタイヤ1で測定したパターン振動の力に基づいて基準エネルギー値E0を算出し、測定対象となるタイヤ1を所定速度で転動させてセンサ20によって各部位6〜8が発生させるパターン振動の力を測定し、測定対象となるタイヤ1で測定したパターン振動の力に基づいて測定エネルギー値Eを算出し、測定エネルギー値Eが基準エネルギー値E0よりも所定以上小されば幅方向不均一摩耗が発生していると判定する。【選択図】図3
