To provide a rubber composition for metal bonding that has a sufficient hardness and can improve adhesiveness after aging to a metallic reinforcing cord because a metallic reinforcing cord such as a steel cord as a reinforcing material is used in a belt layer of a pneumatic tire because of a strong impact and a large load imposed on the belt layer and therefore a rubber for covering such steel cord requires good adhesiveness to the steel cord.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for metal bonding produced by blending 100 pts.mass of a diene-based rubber including 80 pts.mass or more of natural rubber and/or synthetic isoprene rubber with 0.5 to 10 pts.mass of cinnamic acid and/or cinnamic alcohol is provided to solve the above-mentioned problem.SELECTED DRAWING: None

    【課題】空気入りタイヤのベルト層には、強い衝撃や大きな荷重がかかるため、補強材としてスチールコードのような金属製補強コードが用いられている。このようなスチールコードを被覆するゴムは、スチールコードとの良好な接着性が必要とされる。本発明は、十分な硬度を有し、金属製補強コードに対する老化後の接着性を改善し得る金属接着用ゴム組成物を提供することを課題とする。【解決手段】天然ゴムおよび/または合成イソプレンゴムを80質量部以上含むジエン系ゴム100質量部に対し、けい皮酸および/またはけい皮アルコールを0.5〜10質量部配合してなることを特徴とする金属接着用ゴム組成物によって、上記課題を解決した。【選択図】なし
