To improve the operation stability of a lock mechanism provided in a clutch unit.SOLUTION: A clutch unit has a lever-side clutch part 11 and a brake-side clutch part 12. The brake-side clutch part 12 comprises an inner ring 15 with rotation input therein, an outer ring 23 restricted in rotation, an output shaft 22 from which rotation is output, and a cylindrical roller 27. As a lock mechanism, a slide gear 32 is provided in the outer ring 23, and an inner gear 33 which is permitted in relative rotation between an output shaft 22 and itself within a constant range is provided in the output shaft 22. A recess 22d is provided in the output shaft 22, a protrusion 15c is provided in the inner ring 15, and torque is transmitted between the inner ring and the output shaft 22 by the engagement of the protrusion 15c and the recess 22d with each other.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
