To provide a tread detection device which is relatively low in cost, and which can immediately detect and report a tread thickness.SOLUTION: An embodiment in the present invention provides a tread detection device 1 disposed at a first prescribed thickness of a tire. The tread detection device 1 includes: a control module 11 for providing a voltage or a current; and a tread detection module 12 which includes a first tread detection layer disposed at a point of the first prescribed thickness in the tire. The control module 11 detects a resistance value change of the tread detection module 12 to determine whether a tread thickness of the tire is less than or equal to the first prescribed thickness.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
