To provide a method capable of preventing a wrong determination on a degree of wear of a tire and a device therefor.SOLUTION: In determining a degree of wear of a tire from acceleration waveforms of one or both of a region including a stepping-in point and a region including a kicking-out point of an acceleration waveform in a tire peripheral direction which is detected by an acceleration sensor arranged in the tire and to be input to the tire, the detected acceleration waveform in the tire peripheral direction is used to determine road surface roughness of a road surface where the tire is traveling, and only when it is determined that the road surface where the tire is traveling does not include a road surface having road surface roughness larger than previously set road surface roughness, the degree of wear of the tire is determined.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10

    【課題】タイヤの摩耗の度合いの誤判定を防ぐことのできる方法とその装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ内に配置された加速度センサーにより検出されたタイヤに入力するタイヤ周方向の加速度波形の踏み込み点を含む領域、及び、蹴り出し点を含む領域の一方もしくは両方の加速度波形から、当該タイヤの摩耗の度合いを判定する際に、前記検出されたタイヤ周方向の加速度波形を用いて、タイヤの走行している路面の路面粗さについて判定するとともに、タイヤの走行している路面が予め設定された路面粗さよりも粗い路面はないと判定された場合のみ、前記タイヤの摩耗の度合いを判定するようにした。【選択図】図10
