To provide a reverse input block clutch which is reducible in axial dimension and suppressed in the number of part items, and can stably idle an output member when rotation torque is reversely inputted.SOLUTION: A reverse input block clutch 1 is constituted of an input member 2, an output member 3 arranged coaxially with the input member 2, a pair of engagement pieces 4, and a spring 5 for imparting a force in a tensile direction so as to approach a pair of the engagement pieces 4. When rotation torque is inputted to the input member 2, the pair of the engagement pieces 4 move in a direction in which they separate from each other on the basis of engagement with the input member 2, and transmits the rotation torque to the output member 3, however, when the rotation torque is inputted to the output member 3, the output member 3 is made to idle on the basis of a clearance 16 between a pressed face 13 of the output member 3 which is formed of the elasticity of the spring 5 and pressing faces 14 of the engagement pieces 4, and the rotation torque which is reversely inputted to the output member 3 is prevented from being transmitted to the input member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】軸方向寸法を短くでき、かつ、部品点数を抑えられるとともに、回転トルクが逆入力された際に出力部材を安定して空転させられる、逆入力遮断クラッチを実現する。【解決手段】逆入力遮断クラッチ1を、入力部材2と、入力部材2と同軸に配置される出力部材3と、1対の係合子4と、1対の係合子4に互いに近づくような引張方向の力を付与するばね5から構成する。入力部材2に回転トルクが入力された際には、1対の係合子4が入力部材2との係合に基づき互いに離れる方向に移動し、出力部材3に回転トルクを伝達するが、出力部材3に回転トルクが逆入力された際には、ばね5の弾力により形成される出力部材3の被押圧面13と係合子4の押圧面14との隙間16に基づき、出力部材3を空転させ、出力部材3に逆入力された回転トルクが入力部材2に伝達されることを防止する。【選択図】図1
