To provide a test method for tire T rolling resistance, which can get accurate rolling resistance in a short time.SOLUTION: A rolling resistance measurement step of the test method includes: (1) a first stage in which the tire T is rotated in the first rotational direction, the first axial force measurement stage for measuring the axial force Fx1 tangential direction generated in the tire shaft 26 at that time; (2) a second stage in which a tire T is rotated in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction, and the tangential axis force Fx2 generated in the tire shaft 26 is measured at that time; (3) a determination stage for confirming the equilibrium state of the surface temperature.
