To provide a method and device that conduct sufficiently fine sampling, not relying upon a revolving speed of a tire, and can accurately estimate a road surface state.SOLUTION: A road surface state estimation device 10, which estimates a state of a road surface where a tire runs, is composed of: oscillation detection means (an acceleration sensor 11) that is mounted to a tire and detects a time change waveform of oscillation of the tire; sampling instruction pulse generation means 12 that generates a sampling instruction pulse signal in which T/N having a revolving cycle T serving a time of once revolution of the tire divided by a pre-set division number N is a cycle; acceleration waveform extraction means 13 that conducts sampling of the time change waveform of the oscillation of the tire by the sampling instruction pulse signal and extracts an acceleration waveform; and road surface state estimation means 15 that estimates the road surface state from information on the extracted acceleration waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】タイヤの回転速度によらず、十分細かなサンプリングを行って、路面状態を精度よく推定することのできる方法とその装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤが走行している路面の状態を推定する路面状態推定装置10を、タイヤに搭載されて、走行中のタイヤの振動の時間変化波形を検出する振動検出手段(加速度センサー11)と、タイヤが1回転する時間である回転周期Tを予め設定した分割数Nで除したT/Nを周期とするサンプリング指示パルス信号を発生するサンプリング指示パルス発生手段12と、タイヤの振動の時間変化波形を、サンプリング指示パルス信号によりサンプリングして加速度波形を抽出する加速度波形抽出手段13と、抽出された加速度波形の情報から路面状態を推定する路面状態推定手段15とから構成した。【選択図】図1
