To provide a method and device that extract a necessary frequency component with a sampling frequency kept low, and can accurately estimate a road surface state.SOLUTION: A road surface state estimation device 10, which estimates a state of a road surface where a tire runs, is composed of: oscillation detection means (an acceleration sensor 11) that is mounted to a tire and detects a time change waveform of oscillation of the tire; sine wave generation means 12 that generates a sine wave having a preset multiplication-purpose frequency; multiplication waveform creation means 13 that creates a multiplication waveform having the time change waveform and the sine wave multiplied; differential waveform extraction means 14 that extracts the time change waveform having a frequency component of a difference between a frequency of a specific frequency band and the multiplication frequency from the multiplication waveform; band value calculation-purpose waveform extraction means 15 that conducts sampling of the extracted differential waveform at a prescribed sampling frequency, and obtains a band value calculation-purpose waveform for calculating a band value of a specific frequency range; and road surface state estimation means that estimates the road surface state, using the band value calculation-purpose waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】サンプリング周波数を低く抑えつつ、必要な周波数成分を取出して路面状態を精度よく推定することのできる方法とその装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤが走行している路面の状態を推定する路面状態推定装置10を、タイヤに装着されてタイヤの振動の時間変化波形を検出する振動検出手段(加速度センサー11)と、予め設定された掛算用周波数を有する正弦波を発生する正弦波発生手段12と、時間変化波形と正弦波とを掛算した掛算波形を作成する掛算波形作成手段13と、掛算波形から特定周波数帯域の周波数と掛算周波数との差の周波数成分を有する時間変化波形を抽出する差分波形抽出手段14と、抽出された差分波形を所定のサンプリング周波数でサンプリングして特定周波数範囲の帯域値を算出するための帯域値算出用波形を求める帯域値算出用波形抽出手段15と、帯域値算出用波形を用いて路面状態を推定する路面状態推定手段とから構成した。【選択図】図1
