To provide an operation monitoring system capable of monitoring the operation of an elevator using an acceleration sensor.SOLUTION: An operation monitoring system of an elevator includes at least a two-axis acceleration sensor in a car door. The acceleration sensor includes: a vertical direction acceleration sensor which acquires acceleration in a movement direction of a car of the elevator and a horizontal direction acceleration sensor which acquires acceleration in an opening/closing direction of the car door. The operation monitoring system includes: a car monitoring section which determines travel speed and moving distance of the car on the basis of information obtained from the vertical direction acceleration sensor; and a door monitoring section which determines an opening/closing distance, opening/closing time, opening/closing speed, and the number of opening/closing times of the car door on the basis of information obtained from the horizontal direction acceleration sensor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
