To generate waveform data without requiring an expensive measuring device or without reducing the insulation quality of an electric power line.SOLUTION: A waveform data generator comprises: a read unit (voltage detection unit 11, processing unit 17) for reading a CAN frame Fc from a serial bus SB1, and a current detection unit 13 including a contactless current sensor 13a capable of detecting a current flowing in a line L5 without contacting the electric power supplying conductor of an electric power line L5. The read unit reads a current value data frame Fca with which it is possible to determine a representative current value, within a predefined cycle, of the current value of a current flowing in the line L5. The detection unit 13 cyclically detects a current via the sensor 13a and outputs a current level data Dla with which it is possible to determine a change of current level. The processing unit 17 generates current waveform data Dwa that indicates a change of the current value on the basis of the representative current value and a waveform shape based on the frame Fca, with a change of the current level based on the data Dla defined as the waveform shape of current waveform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
