To provide an intermediate shaft in which joining between a sleeve and a connecting member can be stably maintained for a long period of time.SOLUTION: An intermediate shaft 100 comprises: an outer shaft 140 (sleeve) having, at an internal circumferential surface, a ball groove 142 formed along an X-axis direction (axial direction); a tube 160 (connecting member) joined to one end part of the outer shaft 140; and a caulked part 200 which is formed by caulking at least either of one end part of the outer shaft 140 and of the tube 160.
