To provide a technique capable of limiting overloading of a regenerative power absorption device from a viewpoint of instantaneous power and further contributing to the miniaturization and simplification of the device.SOLUTION: A chopper current instruction value calculated by a chopper current instruction value calculation unit 21 is limited based on an instruction upper limit value of an instruction upper limit unit 22. The instruction upper limit value of the instruction upper limit unit 22 derives an estimation value of a chopper output current with respect to an instantaneous power upper limit value by estimating it as an instruction upper limit value. A duty ratio calculation unit 23 derives a duty ratio of a chopper circuit 2 based on a deviation between the chopper current instruction value output from the instruction upper limit unit 22 and a chopper output current detection value of a current detector 12. In addition, a signal generation unit 24 generates a gate signal of a switching element SW of the chopper circuit 2 based on the duty ratio, and the gate signal is supplied to a gate of the switching element SW of the chopper circuit 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
