To achieve both of prevention of drive power shortage and protection of a friction engagement element from a thermal load state during continuous shifting.SOLUTION: In a shift control device for an automatic transmission AT, an automatic transmission controller 20 is provided with a thermal protection control part 20a which performs such shift control as to protect a friction engagement element from a thermal load state during continuous shifting. The thermal protection control part 20a calculates a first possible acceleration when assuming allowance of downshift and a second possible acceleration when assuming prohibition of downshift in the case that shifting from downshift to next upshift as a next speed is assumed during upshift by continuous shifting, and it is predicted and determined that a clutch temperature at the next upshift exceeds a clutch temperature threshold. A shift mode by drive power of a higher one of the first possible acceleration and the second possible acceleration is selected. When a downshift allowance shift mode is selected, engine torque down control is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】連続変速時、駆動力不足の防止と摩擦係合要素の熱負荷状態からの保護との両立を図ること。【解決手段】自動変速機ATの変速制御装置において、自動変速機コントローラ20に、連続変速時に摩擦係合要素を熱負荷状態から保護する変速制御を行う熱保護制御部20aを設ける。熱保護制御部20aは、連続変速によるアップシフト時、次変速としてダウンシフトから次回のアップシフトへの移行が想定され、次回のアップシフトにてクラッチ温度がクラッチ温度閾値を超えると予測判断される場合、ダウンシフトの許可を想定したときの第1可能加速度と、ダウンシフトの禁止を想定したときの第2可能加速度とを算出する。第1可能加速度と第2可能加速度のうち高い方の駆動力による変速モード選択する。ダウンシフト許可変速モードを選択した場合、エンジントルクダウン制御を行う。【選択図】図4
