To achieve refrigerant saving and lowering of the center of gravity in operation as other purposes.SOLUTION: A thermosiphon type cooling apparatus for vehicle comprises: an evaporator 13 which has an evaporation part 131 evaporating a refrigerant by letting the refrigerant absorb heat from on-vehicle equipment 11; gas piping 15 where the refrigerant evaporated at the evaporation part 131 flows; condensers 14, 24 which have condensation parts 140, 240 condensing the refrigerant having flowed through the gas piping 15 by radiating heat; and liquid piping 16 which guides the refrigerant having been condensed at the condensation parts 140, 240 to the evaporator 13. The evaporator 13, gas piping 15, liquid piping 16, and condensers 14, 24 are so constituted that evaporator-side capacity V1 as capacity of a region above a lower end of the evaporation part 131 and below a liquid level of the refrigerant not in operation at the evaporator 13 and gas piping 15 is larger than condenser-side capacity V2 as capacity of a region above the liquid level of the refrigerant not in operation and below lower ends of the condensation parts 140, 240 at the liquid piping 16 and condensers 14, 24; and filled with the refrigerant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6

    【課題】省冷媒化や作動時の低重心化を図ることを他の目的とする。【解決手段】車載機器11から冷媒に吸熱させて冷媒を蒸発させる蒸発部131を有する蒸発器13と、蒸発部131で蒸発した冷媒が流れるガス配管15と、ガス配管15を流れた冷媒を放熱させて凝縮させる凝縮部140、240を有する凝縮器14、24と、凝縮部140、240で凝縮した冷媒を蒸発器13に導く液配管16とを備え、蒸発器13およびガス配管15のうち、蒸発部131の下端よりも上方かつ非作動時における冷媒の液面よりも下方の領域の容積である蒸発器側容積V1が、液配管16および凝縮器14、24のうち、非作動時における冷媒の液面よりも上方かつ凝縮部140、240の下端よりも下方の領域の容積である凝縮器側容積V2よりも大きくなるように、蒸発器13、ガス配管15、液配管16および凝縮器14、24が構成され且つ冷媒が封入されている。【選択図】図6
