To provide a vehicular control apparatus capable of maintaining an evacuation travel to an appropriate evacuation spot even in a case where an abnormality occurs, causing the operation position of a shift operation device to become undetermined.SOLUTION: A vehicular control apparatus includes: a control part 71 for switching travel ranges of a vehicle on the basis of an operation position detected by operation position detection means that detects an operation position of a shift operation device operated by a driver; and an abnormality determination part 72 for determining a detection abnormality of the operation position detection means. The apparatus further includes an evacuation travel control part 70 for executing evacuation travel control for causing the vehicle to travel independently of an operation of the shift operation device in a case where the abnormality determination part 72 determines a detection abnormality of the operation position detection means while the vehicle travels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
