To efficiently diagnose escalators.SOLUTION: An escalator diagnostic device 10, provided on a foot step 100 of an escalator, for diagnosing a step driving unit 200 including step wheels 220 and 230 for moving steps up and down, and a step chain 240 for moving the step wheels 220 and 230, by contacting and traveling along a guide rail 300, includes: a signal processing unit 22 to process an output signal from a strain detection unit 40 that detects the strain generated in the guide rail 300 on the main surface of the guide rail 300 during maintenance inspection, and to determine that the step drive unit 200 has an abnormality if the output signal is abnormal; and an external output unit 23 which outputs to the outside that an abnormality has occurred in the step driving unit 200 when the step driving unit 200 has an abnormality. The signal processing unit 22 compares the output signal at the time of maintenance inspection with the reference value, and determines that the wheels 220 and 230 have an abnormality, when there is a difference equal to or greater than a threshold value between them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】エスカレータの診断を効率的に行うこと。【解決手段】エスカレータの踏段100に設けられ、ガイドレール300に接触してガイドレール300に沿って走行することで、踏段を昇降させる踏段車輪220,230と、踏段車輪220,230を走行させる踏段チェーン240と、を備える踏段駆動部200に対して診断を行うエスカレータ診断装置10であって、保守点検時に、ガイドレール300の主面上でガイドレール300に生じるひずみを検出するひずみ検出部40からの出力信号を処理し、出力信号が異常である場合は踏段駆動部200に異常が生じたと判定する信号処理部22と、踏段駆動部200に異常が生じた場合に、踏段駆動部200に異常が生じたことを外部に出力する外部出力部23と、を備え、信号処理部22は、保守点検時の出力信号を基準値と比較し、両者に閾値以上の乖離があった場合、車輪220,230に異常が生じたと判定する。【選択図】図2
