To provide a travel control device making it possible to carry out an automatic follow-up travel in a suitable mode with respect to a front vehicle even if an own vehicle is different in automobile rank from the front vehicle that is a follow-up travel target.SOLUTION: A travel control device for an automatic operation vehicle 110 includes: a controller 40 to control a transmission actuator 23 so as to carry out a follow-up travel with respect to a front vehicle; and a camera 31a to detect an automobile rank of the front vehicle.
