To provide a cooling device for a rotary electric machine capable of suppressing reduction of cooling efficiency during tilting of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A cooling device 10 comprises: a cooling pipe 12 which is disposed at an upper side of a motor/generator 1, and in which a discharge hole 13 is formed for discharging ATF; and a rotary sleeve 14 in which a large opening part 17L, a medium opening part 17M and a small opening part 17S are formed and which is provided in an outer periphery of the cooling pipe 12 in a relatively rotatable state with respect to the cooling pipe 12. In a case where the sleeve 14 is relatively displaced in response to an attitude change of the cooling pipe 12 caused by tilting of a vehicle, in the cooling device 10, the large opening part 17L of the rotary sleeve 14 is overlapped with the discharge hole 13, and the small opening part 17S is overlapped with the discharge hole 13.     【課題】車両の傾斜時において冷却効率の低下を抑制できる回転電機の冷却装置を提供する。【解決手段】冷却装置10は、モータ・ジェネレータ1の上方に配置され、ATFを吐出する吐出孔13が形成された冷却パイプ12と、大開口部17L、中開口部17M、及び小開口部17Sが形成され、冷却パイプ12に対して相対回転可能な状態で冷却パイプ12の外周に設けられた回転スリーブ14と、を備える。冷却装置10は、車両の傾斜による冷却パイプ12の姿勢変化に応じてスリーブ14が相対変位した場合、回転スリーブ14の大開口部17Lと吐出孔13とが重なり、かつ小開口部17Sと吐出孔13とが重なる。そして、大開口部17Lは小開口部17Sよりも高く位置している。【選択図】図3
