To provide an ultrasonic sensor constituted so as to be mounted in a vehicle body component, in which the occurrence of performance degradation due to the ingress of water arising from rainfall, etc., in a vehicle-mounted state is satisfactorily suppressed.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic sensor (1) comprises a sensor body (2), a cushion member (5), a retainer part (6), and a waterproof seal (7). The sensor body includes an ultrasonic microphone (3) and a microphone support part (4). The cushion member covers a protrusion (31) of the ultrasonic microphone. The retainer part holds a sandwiching part (54) on the substrate side between the outer circumference of the ultrasonic microphone and itself, while causing an exposure portion (53) at an axial tip of the cushion member to be exposed. The waterproof seal shuts a gap between a vehicle body component (V3) and the exposed portion of the cushion member in a vehicle-mounted state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
