To attain suitable automatic parking of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A parking support device for a vehicle 10 acquires luminous intensity outside the vehicle 10. The parking support device controls a parking speed of the vehicle 10 to be a first speed when the acquired luminous intensity is equal to or higher than a prescribed threshold value, and controls the parking speed of the vehicle 10 to be a second speed slower than the first speed when the acquired luminous intensity is equal to or lower than the prescribed threshold value. The parking support device detects a parking target in a parking space 14 on the basis of an image imaged by an imaging device installed on the vehicle 10 and showing a situation outside the vehicle 10, in a condition where the parking speed is controlled to be the first speed or the second speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両の好適な自動駐車を実現する。【解決手段】車両10の駐車支援装置は、車両10の外の照度を取得する。駐車支援装置は、取得した照度が所定の閾値より大きい場合、車両10の駐車速度を第1の速度に制御し、取得した照度が所定の閾値以下の場合、車両10の駐車速度を第1の速度より遅い第2の速度に制御する。駐車支援装置は、第1の速度または第2の速度に制御された状態で、車両10に搭載の撮像装置により撮像された車両10の外の様子を示す画像に基づいて、駐車スペース14における駐車目標を検出する。【選択図】図1
