To provide a technique for increasing the accuracy of detecting an object in an image.SOLUTION: An acquisition unit 300 acquires a taken image. A line segment extraction unit 312 extracts plural line segments in the image acquired by the acquisition unit 300. A line segment connecting unit 314 connects line segments that satisfy a predetermined condition out of the plural line segments extracted by the line segment extraction unit 312. A feature amount calculation unit 316 calculates the feature amount of the line segments connected by the line segment connection unit 314. A derivation unit 318 derives at least the height of an object having the feature amount of the line segments and the distance to the object by tracking the feature amount of line segments calculated by the feature amount calculation unit 316 between plural images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
