To secure an operator's safety while easily carrying out tensioning work in using an auxiliary apparatus for tensioning work of a hanging load wire rope in a crane.SOLUTION: A stanchion apparatus 10 for a hanging load wire rope 3 in a crane 1 comprises: a stanchion bar 13 disposed along a lengthwise direction of a base boom 110; five stanchion poles 12 arranged at predetermined intervals in the lengthwise direction of the base boom 110; base members 11 that are disposed over between both side surfaces 113 and 114 of the base boom 110 remaining in contact with an upper surface 111 of the base boom 110, and which each support the lower parts of the five stanchion poles 12; and steel bands 15 and 16 that are wound around the lower surface 112 and both side surfaces 113 and 114 of the base boom 110, and of which both ends are fastened to the end parts of the base member 11 corresponding to both side surfaces 113 and 114, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
