To provide a steering device that can absorb shock with an intermediate shaft which can easily be manufactured and whose deformation characteristic can be easily changed.SOLUTION: A steering device includes: a first universal joint; a second universal joint arranged closer to a front side than the first universal joint; and an intermediate shaft positioned between the first universal joint and the second universal joint. The intermediate shaft is provided with a first shaft to be a hollow member whose internal diameter is constant over a total length in an axial direction. The first shaft is provided with a first shock absorption part having grooves on an outer peripheral surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
