To provide a method for efficiently testing the breaker edge looseness of a tire.SOLUTION: The method for testing is for testing the resistance to breaker edge looseness. The method includes the steps of: providing a slip angle to a test tire 2 and causing the tire to travel; and causing the test tire 2 to travel straight. The ratio of a travelling time Ts to a travelling time Tt, Ts/Tt is 0.2 to 0.6, both inclusive, when the travelling time in the slip travelling step is denoted by Ts, the travelling time in the straight travelling time is denoted by Tn, and the sum of the travelling time Ts and the travelling time Tn is denoted by Tt.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
