To provide a range switching unit which can suppress wrong operation when performing a shifting operation.SOLUTION: The range switching unit has a shift lever 20, a guide pin 30, a pin operation part 32, and a guide member 42 comprising a guide window 44 which forms a movement region for the guide pin 30, and can perform a range switching operation by moving the shift lever 20 to a shift position. There are an exit side region 44a in which the guide pin 30 is located in a non-operational state and an entry side region 44b in which the guide pin 30 is located in an operational state in the guide window 33. There is a first projection 48, which projects toward the entry side region 44b, in the exit side region 44a, and the guide pin 30 can be moved in a shift direction X via the first projection 48 by operating the shift lever 20 in the shift direction X while maintaining the non-operational state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】本発明は、シフト操作の際に、誤操作を抑制することができるレンジ切替装置の提供を目的とした。【解決手段】シフトレバー20と、ガイドピン30と、ピン操作部32と、ガイドピン30の移動領域をなすガイド窓44を備えたガイド部材42とを有し、シフト位置にシフトレバー20を移動させることにより、レンジの切り替え操作を行えるものであり、ガイド窓33には、非操作状態においてガイドピン30が配置される退入側領域44aと、操作状態においてガイドピン30が配置される進出側領域44bとが有り、退入側領域44aには、進出側領域44bに向けて突出した第一突出部48が有り、非操作状態のままシフトレバー20をシフト方向Xへと操作することにより、ガイドピン30が第一突出部48を経てシフト方向Xに移動可能であることを特徴とする。【選択図】図3
