To provide a cowl brace structure for a vehicle, the cowl brace structure being able to make vibration decrease performance of a steering device satisfactory and, at the same time, make impact absorption performance satisfactory in the event of front collision of a vehicle as well.SOLUTION: A cowl brace 1 is sectioned into an upper member 1a and a lower member 1b located below the upper member, each of which is connected to a cross member 4 and a cowl panel 3. The upper member 1a and the lower member 1b respectively have an upper and lower curved parts 12a, 12b, each of which is curved in the form of an upward projection as viewed from a side, in a vehicle front side area from the cross member 4 and a steering support part 2b. Both the curved parts 12a, 12b are provided with a fragile part 13 less rigid than the other portions and the lower curved part 12b is formed so as to be smaller in curvature radius than the upper curved part 12a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
