To provide technology that avoids incorrect route guidance when the accuracy of specifying a present place is not high.SOLUTION: A navigation device pertaining to the present invention comprises: a position calculation unit for receiving a signal from a satellite and calculating the own vehicle position; an own vehicle position matching unit for determining a match state or a free state by whether or not the own vehicle position is displayable on a road; a route search unit for searching for a route from the own vehicle position to a destination; a route guide unit for showing a route; a monitoring unit for monitoring a distance or a time in which the sensitivity of receiving a signal from a satellite is continuously lower than or equal to a prescribed level; and a route search control unit for indicating to the route search unit. The route search control unit indicates that a route be searched when the distance and time monitored by the monitoring unit are both lower than the prescribed level upon a change from the free state to the match state, and does not indicate that a route be searched when one of the two is higher than or equal to the prescribed level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 本発明の目的は、現在地の特定精度が高くない場合に、誤った経路誘導を回避する技術を提供することにある。【解決手段】本発明に係るナビゲーション装置は、衛星からの信号を受信して自車位置を算出する位置計算部と、自車位置を道路上に表示が可能か否かによりマッチ状態またはフリー状態を判定する自車位置マッチング部と、自車位置から目的地への経路を探索する経路探索部と、経路を誘導する経路誘導部と、衛星からの信号の受信感度が継続して所定以下の状態にある距離または時間を監視する監視部と、経路探索部に指示する経路探索制御部と、を備え、経路探索制御部は、フリー状態からマッチ状態に変わったとき、監視部で監視している距離または時間がいずれも所定未満である場合には、経路の探索を指示し、いずれかが所定以上である場合には、経路の探索を指示しないことを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
