To suppress the occurrence of temperature unevenness at secondary batteries 12a, 12b.SOLUTION: A cooling unit 10 comprises: a condenser 16; a cooler 14 for absorbing heat from secondary batteries 12a, 12b by evaporating a liquid-phase refrigerant from the condenser 16; a liquid storage part 22 arranged in the middle of an approach flow passage 18a through which the liquid-phase refrigerant flows to the cooler 14 from the condenser 16, and storing the liquid-phase refrigerant; and a liquid storage valve 24 as an adjustment part for adjusting a liquid storage amount of the liquid-phase refrigerant in the cooler 14 by adjusting a flow rate of the liquid-phase refrigerant flowing to the cooler 14 via the approach flow passage 18a from the liquid storage part 22. A region in contact with a gas portion of the secondary batteries 12a, 12b is reduced by valve-opening the liquid storage valve 24 to increase the liquid-phase refrigerant in the cooler 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
