To obtain a structure which can increase a contraction amount of a telescopic shaft.SOLUTION: An inner shaft 9a and an outer shaft 10a constituting a telescopic shaft are coupled to each other so as to be capable of transmitting torque, and relatively displaceable in an axial direction at least at a temporary collision. The inner shaft 9a has a yoke part 19 at one side in the axial direction, and a shaft part 20 which is integrally formed at the yoke part 19 at the other side of the yoke part 19 in the axial direction. A recessed curved face 28 having an arc shape in a cross section which smoothly continues to the other side face of the yoke part 19 in the axial direction is formed at an external peripheral face of an end part of the shaft part 20 at one side in the axial direction, and a fuse part 29 which is smaller than the other portion of the shaft part 20 in a diameter is arranged at a portion adjoining the other side of the recessed curve face 28 in the axial direction out of the shaft part 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
