PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure which can prevent that wheel alignment becomes improper due to an accident such as a collision and the ride-on of a steering wheel on a curb stone.SOLUTION: An inner shaft 9a and an outer tube 10a are combined with each other so as to be capable of transmitting torque in a telescopic state in an entire length by making a male spline part 39 which is formed at one end part of an external peripheral face of a shaft main body 84 constituting the inner shaft 9a in an axial direction, and a female spline part 19 which is formed at an internal peripheral face of the outer tube 10a spline-engaged with each other. Then, a small-diameter shaft part 47 which is smaller in an outside diameter dimension than a portion adjoining both sides of the portion in the axial direction is arranged at an intermediate part of a low-rigidity shaft 14 constituting the inner shaft 9a in the axial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】衝突事故や操舵輪の縁石への乗り上げ等のアクシデントにより、ホイールアライメントが狂ってしまう事を防止できる構造を実現する。【解決手段】インナシャフト9aを構成するシャフト本体84の外周面の軸方向一端部に形成された雄スプライン部39と、アウタチューブ10aの内周面に形成された雌スプライン部19とを、スプライン係合させる事により、前記インナシャフト9aと前記アウタチューブ10aとをトルク伝達可能、且つ、全長を伸縮可能な状態に組み合わせる。そして、前記インナシャフト9aを構成する低剛性シャフト14の軸方向中間部に、当該部分の軸方向両側に隣接した部分よりも外径寸法が小さい小径軸部47を設ける。【選択図】図1
