To provide a track transportation system with improved safety and operability which copes with the fact that, in the track transportation system in which a transportation vehicle travels on the track, if there is an obstacle on the track, it cannot be avoided by steering, therefore, detecting an obstacle is important for improving the safety and operability of the transportation system.SOLUTION: In order to solve the issue, the track transportation system of the present invention includes, a transportation vehicle for transporting passengers, a safety confirmation vehicle running ahead of the transportation vehicle, and a communication means which communicably connects the transportation vehicle with the safety confirmation vehicle by an advancement permission signal, and the transportation vehicle includes a braking means, and the braking means acts in a case the transportation vehicle does not receive the advancement permission signal even if time-out is exceeded.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】軌道上を輸送用車両が走行する軌道輸送システムでは、軌道上に障害物があった場合、操舵による回避が出来ない。そのため、障害物を検知することは輸送システムの安全性や運用性を向上させるために重要である。これに対応すべく、安全性や運用性を向上させた軌道輸送システムを提供することを目的とする。【解決手段】上記課題を解決するために、本発明の軌道輸送システムは、乗客を輸送する輸送用車両と、前記輸送用車両に先行して走る安全確認用車両と、前記輸送用車両と前記安全確認用車両との間で進行許可信号を通信可能につなぐ通信手段を備え、前記輸送用車両は制動手段を備え、前記制動手段は、前記輸送用車両がタイムアウト時間を超えても前記進行許可信号を受信しない場合に作動する。【選択図】図5
