PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaluation method capable of accurately evaluating the on-snow performance of a tire.SOLUTION: An evaluation method includes: a step of blowing a snow 28 to a running surface 16 of a rotating drum 4, while pressing this snow 28 against the running surface 16 by a presser 8 having a width narrower than the width of this running surface 16 and forming a pressed snow layer 26; and a step of causing a test tire to run on the pressed snow layer 26. Preferably, this evaluation method further includes a step of grinding the surface of the pressed snow layer 26 by a cutting instrument 30 moving in the width direction while rotating the drum 4 between the step of forming the pressed snow layer 26 and the step of causing the test tire to run on the pressed snow layer 26.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】精度よくタイヤの雪上性能が評価できる評価方法の提供。【解決手段】本発明に係る評価方法は、回転するドラム4の走行面16に雪28を吹き付けつつ、この走行面16の幅よりも狭い幅を有しかつ幅方向に移動する押圧器8によってこの雪28を上記走行面16に押し付けて、圧雪層26を形成する工程、及び試験タイヤを上記圧雪層26の上で走行させる工程を含む。好ましくは、この評価方法は、上記圧雪層26を形成する工程と上記試験タイヤを上記圧雪層26の上で走行させる工程との間に、上記ドラム4を回転させつつ、幅方向に移動する切削器30で、上記圧雪層26の表面を削る工程をさらに含む。【選択図】図1
