PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed limit device which can limit a further rise of a speed when an actual vehicle speed exactly reaches an upper limit speed irrespective of an empty state or a loaded state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A vehicle speed limit device 10 comprises: an axial load detection part 14 for detecting a magnitude of an axial load which acts on an axle 12 for supporting a tire 11; an internal combustion engine 15 for generating a rotational drive force of the axle 12; and a control part 16 for controlling the internal combustion engine 15 according to a detection result of the axial load detection part 14. The control part 16 sets a dynamic load radius R of the tire 11 according to the magnitude of the axial load which is detected by the axial load detection part 14, calculates a vehicle speed V of a vehicle C on the basis of the set dynamic load radius R, and controls the internal combustion engine 15 so that the calculated vehicle speed V does not exceed a prescribed upper limit speed Vm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】車両が空車状態か積車状態かによらず、実際の車速が正確に上限速度に到達した時に、速度の更なる上昇を制限することが可能な車速制限装置を提供する。【解決手段】タイヤ11を支持する車軸12に作用する軸重の大きさを検出する軸重検出部14と、車軸12の回転駆動力を発生させる内燃機関15と、軸重検出部14の検出結果に応じて内燃機関15を制御する制御部16と、を備え、制御部16は、軸重検出部14が検出した軸重の大きさに応じてタイヤ11の動荷重半径Rを所定値に設定し、設定した動荷重半径Rに基づいて車両Cの車速Vを算出し、算出した車速Vが所定の上限速度Vmを超えないように内燃機関15を制御する車速制限装置10。【選択図】図1
