PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device moving within a pipe which can smoothly transfer for a long distance in a thin pipe.SOLUTION: This device 10 moving within a pipe comprises three telescopic parts 21, 22, 23 which are made from the first artificial muscle 20 and have respective air chambers R and two air tubes 41, 42 that are drawn from a base end part 29 of the device 10 and pass through the insides of the telescopic parts 22, 23 and air can be supplied through air tubes to the three air chambers R. When air is supplied through an air tube to an air chamber R of each telescopic part 21, 22, 23, the telescopic part with the air chamber is constituted to increase its inner diameter radially and to press the inner wall of the pipe and, also, at least one of three telescopic parts 21, 22, 23, in the condition that other telescopic parts except the at least one decrease their diameters radially and extend axially, is constituted to increase its diameter radially and to press the inner wall of the pipe.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
