PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body side part structure capable of suppressing deformation of a B pillar and securing a cabin inner capacity more efficiently.SOLUTION: A rear door upper beam 38 having tension intensity in a vehicle cross direction is provided inside of a rear door 8 of a vehicle, and a rear end part of the rear door upper beam is engaged to a rear quarter part 20 of a vehicle body by a rear door lock mechanism 28, and a wheel apron 54 forming a rear wheel house 50 with the engagement part of the rear quarter part 20 to the rear door 8 by the rear door lock mechanism 28 is connected to a vehicle cross direction by the connection member 44. The wheel apron 54 has extension in a vertical direction and a vehicle cross direction, so that, tension intensity received from the rear door upper beam 38 is dispersed, even receiving the tension force from the rear door upper beam 38, the wheel apron 54 is hardly deformed and broken, so that, tension intensity of the rear door upper beam 38 acts efficiently, as B pillar deformation suppression force.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】Bピラーの変形を抑制して、より効果的に車室内容積を確保することができる車体側部構造を提供する。【解決手段】車両前後方向に引張強度を有するリヤドアアッパビーム38を車両のリヤドア8内部に配設し、その後端部をリヤドアロック機構28で車体のリヤクォータ部20に係合し、リヤドアロック機構28によるリヤクォータ部20のリヤドア8への係合部とリヤホイールハウス50を構成するホイールエプロン54を連結部材44で車両前後方向に連結する。ホイールエプロン54は上下方向及び車両前後方向に広がりを有するので、リヤドアアッパビーム38から受ける引張応力が分散され、リヤドアアッパビーム38から引張力を受けてもホイールエプロン54は変形したり破断したりしにくいので、リヤドアアッパビーム38の引張強度がBピラー変形抑制力として有効に作用する。【選択図】図2
