PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can properly perform a driving support for suppressing a traffic accident by improving an accuracy of determining whether a possibility of occurrence of a traffic accident is high or low.SOLUTION: A traffic condition acquiring unit 11 acquires a traffic condition of a vehicle in a traveling road; a road surface state estimating unit 10b estimates a road surface condition of the traveling road; and a probe data obtaining unit 10d determines a traveling speed of the vehicle traveling on the traveling road. A target point determining unit 10a determines a target point based on the traffic condition of the vehicle. An accident avoidance speed estimating unit 10c estimates an accident avoidance speed for the vehicle traveling on an upstream of the target point according to the estimated road surface condition of the target point. A driving support necessity determining unit 10e determines whether or not a traveling speed of the vehicle traveling the upstream of the target point acquired by the probe data acquiring unit 10d exceeds the accident avoidance speed estimated by the accident avoidance speed estimating unit 10c so as to determine whether or not to support the driving.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】交通事故が発生する可能性が高いか、低いかの判定精度の向上を図ることによって、交通事故を抑制するための運転支援が適正に行える技術を提供する。【解決手段】交通状況取得部11が走行路における車両の交通状況を取得し、路面状態推定部10bが走行路の路面状態を推定し、プローブデータ取得部10dが走行路を走行している車両の走行速度を取得する。対象地点決定部10aは、車両の交通状況に基づき対象地点を決定する。事故回避速度推定部10cは、対象地点の上流を走行している車両に対する事故回避速度を、推定した対象地点の路面状態に応じて推定する。運転支援要否判定部10eは、プローブデータ取得部10dが取得した対象地点の上流を走行している車両の走行速度が、事故回避速度推定部10cが推定した事故回避速度を越えているかどうかによって運転支援の要否を判定する。【選択図】図2
